Candlebox formed in 1990 in Seattle in the swarm of the
“grunge” scene. They skyrocketed, played on the main-stage at
Woodstock '94, and were plastered all over MTV. They are best
known for songs like “You”, “Far Behind,” “Cover Me”, and “Simple
Lessons.” The band split to pursue other projects in 2000 and in
2006, Candlebox reunited with their original line-up and embarked
on a three-month North American tour to test the waters. The band
released its first album in 10 years, Into the Sun, in July and
plans a live CD/DVD package later this year. This marks the first
collaboration of the original lineup since 1996.

A two man band started in 1987 outside of Chicago, Local H's
first album, Ham Fisted, was released in 1995. Their 1996 follow
up, As Good as Dead is still a favorite with songs like “Bound for
the Floor” and “Eddie Vedder”. Last May they put out their 6th
full length, 12 Angry Months, a concept album based on a bad
breakup, with each track representing another month. “24 Hour
Break Up Session” represents July. |
