All Streets, Businesses In Center City Philadelphia Closed After Protests

Following violent protests and looting on Saturday, Mayor Jim Kenney announced Sunday at noon that all streets in Center City Philadelphia have now been closed. He says the closures are "to facilitate the cleanup and emergency responses if needed."

The closure area runs from Vine Street to South Street, and from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River.

The Ben Franklin Bridge was also shut down on Sunday as well. The streets will remain closed until further notice. SEPTA bus access will also be restricted.

If you're a resident or business operator in Center City, you'll be permitted access.

There will be another curfew on Sunday as well, starting Sunday night at 8pm thru Monday at 6am.

UPDATE: Philadelphia has also ordered all Center City and Philadelphia businesses to close today in advance of the 8pm curfew.
